For Reviewers
Peer reviewers are essential to the quality of CMCCR. Reviewers evaluate clinical accuracy, ethics, originality and clarity of case-based manuscripts within their area of expertise.
Invitations are sent through the reviewer portal with a defined response deadline. Declining an invitation promptly helps the editor assign alternative reviewers without delaying authors.
Review reports should be professional, specific and evidence-based. Comment on strengths as well as weaknesses. Flag suspected ethics issues, overlap with prior publications or inadequate consent confidentially to the editor.
When double-anonymous review is configured, do not attempt to identify authors and do not include self-identifying information in uploaded review files.
Active reviewers may access assigned manuscripts, due dates and decision letters through the reviewer dashboard after account setup by the editorial office.
