Clinical Images
CMCCR publishes clinical, radiological, pathological and procedural images that convey a clear teaching point. Image-only submissions still require narrative context and ethical approval of publication.
Submission requirements
- Short structured summary (presentation, finding, significance)
- High-resolution images with scale markers when relevant
- Complete captions independent of the main text
- Patient consent for identifiable or sensitive images
- Declaration of any image processing beyond standard adjustment
Technical specifications
Preferred formats include JPEG, PNG or TIFF. Avoid excessive compression artifacts. For radiology, indicate modality, sequence and relevant window settings. Pathology images should note stain type and magnification.
Image integrity
Do not clone, erase or relocate findings to mislead readers. Cropping for privacy is permitted when it does not alter clinical interpretation. Composite images must be labeled clearly.
