Publication Ethics
CMCCR is committed to responsible scholarly publishing. Editorial practices emphasize patient confidentiality, transparency, research integrity and fair evaluation of manuscripts.
Research Integrity
Editors and authors must uphold honesty in reporting clinical observations. Fabrication, falsification and plagiarism are grounds for rejection or retraction.
Human Subjects
Research involving human participants must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki and local regulations. Case reports may require ethics committee review depending on context.
Informed Consent
Patient consent for publication is required when identifiable information is included, unless a valid waiver applies. See the patient privacy policy for details.
Conflict of Interest
All participants must disclose financial and non-financial conflicts. Editors recuse themselves when they have competing interests.
Authorship
Authorship credit reflects substantial contribution, approval of the manuscript and accountability for the work. All authors must meet these criteria.
Plagiarism
Text similarity checking may be used. Prior publication of the same case must be disclosed and properly cited.
Duplicate Publication
Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is prohibited.
Data Fabrication
Invented cases or manipulated clinical data are unacceptable and may be reported to institutions.
Image Manipulation
Images must reflect true findings. Misleading manipulation is treated as misconduct.
Peer Review Ethics
Reviewers must declare conflicts, protect confidentiality and provide objective assessments.
Corrections
Honest errors are corrected promptly with clear notices linked to the article record.
Retractions
Retractions follow COPE-informed processes when the published record cannot be relied upon.
Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are based on academic merit, not commercial or political pressure.
Complaints and Appeals
Authors may submit formal appeals and complaints to the editorial office for documented review.
