Chronicles of Medical and Clinical Case Reports

Copyright & Licensing

Chronicles of Medical and Clinical Case Reports is an open-access journal. The licence printed on each article page is the licence that applies to that article. Readers should follow that notice when they reuse the text, figures or tables.

Authors

By submitting a manuscript, the authors confirm that the work is their own, that they have the right to submit it, and that they have permission for any photograph, figure or lengthy quotation taken from another source. All authors should agree to the submission. If the article is accepted, the authors grant the journal the right to publish the version of record, to make it available online and to identify it with the licence shown on the article.

Where the article uses a Creative Commons licence, the authors keep copyright and the public may reuse the work under the conditions of that licence, including attribution to the authors and the journal. A more restrictive licence, if one is stated on the article, must be followed instead.

Readers

  • Read, download and share the published PDF or web version with the attribution the licence requires.
  • Do not present the article, or part of it, as your own work.
  • Do not drop the licence notice or the citation when you redistribute the file.
  • Clinical images remain subject to the patient-privacy conditions under which they were published. They must not be reused in a way that identifies the patient beyond what the article already shows.

Third-party material

A figure, table or quotation credited to another publication may have its own copyright holder. That credit in the legend means the item is not covered by the article licence unless the legend says otherwise. Permission to reuse it must be sought from the rights holder named there.
